Virtually every profession has a code of ethics that guides general practice. Professionals working in the area of trauma, however, can face unique challenges. These can include decisions about treatment methods and timing, disclosure of traumatic events and adverse experiences, personal boundaries of the professional, the use of language (for example, invitational versus prescriptive), and many other considerations.

Participants will be able to:
1) Assess traumatic events that are not explicitly addressed in the codes of ethics of professional organizations.
2) Distinguish between structural and interpersonal professional boundaries
3) Identify two critical elements of professional boundaries (i.e. balancing connection and protection)

The training session runs for two hours and forty minutes. The charge is $60. To be eligible for the CE credits, you must watch the training, complete a quiz, and submit an evaluation form. Access to training materials and video will last for 10 days following the payment of the registration fee. All registrants will be eligible for a Certificate of Completion approved by ASWB and APA for 2.5 CE credit hours.
